World Taekwondo (WT) is the International Federation (IF) governing the sport of Taekwondo and is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
The Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation, or THF, was designed to be part of the solution to this grave global crisis. It is the brainchild of World Taekwondo, or WT. The two organizations share the same president, Dr. Chungwon Choue; the WT supports the THF in some of its operations; and the two organizations share office space in Lausanne, Switzerland.Continue Reading
WTMU (World Taekwondo Masters Union) helps ensure the consistency of Taekwondo instruction worldwide, help ensure the unified international practice of our art, and help ensure the continued growth of Taekwondo. The organization does this by promoting official programs and curriculum, organizing certifications and training seminars, and working with Taekwondo masters and school owners worldwide.
The Kukkiwon is the World Taekwondo Head quarters and also the official governing body established by the South Korean government for taekwondo; the Kukkiwon is supervised by the International Sports Division within the South Korean Ministry for Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
